Aquae Furtivae is a power prog metal band formed in Berlin, 2019.
Originally created by the Spanish drummer Iago Franco the band explores many music styles, making their songs an intriguing, teasing, and exciting expedition.

Heavily influenced by bands such as Pain of Salvation, Haken, VOLA, and Avantasia, Aquae Furtivae tries to break down the walls of standardized music swinging their audience from extreme metal to flamenco, pop, classical and electronic music.

Road to Square One is Aquae Furtivae's debut album which tells the story of a family whose father is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. As the songs go by the listener experiences the perspective of different members of the family, how they feel affected by the situation, and how they deal with their emotions to accept that they have started a one-way journey.

The album is based on a real story, written by Iago Franco who shrank almost a decade of a fight against Alzheimer in his own family into 45 minutes of an epic, whimsical and emotional journey.
